My wife and I have always seen this place busy, so we stopped in. Started with our usual, cheese sauce. Tasty. Chips were nice. Wife liked the salsa. For entrees, I got the 1 burrito, 1 enchilada, and 1 quesadilla combo. Wife got a beef burrito and rice. It was pretty decent, but we've had better. By no means is this bad Mexican food, we just found better. Our biggest problem we had was that it was insanely loud. We often had to repeat ourselves and couldn't have a good conversation. Granted, it was a Friday night and quite busy. Decent food but really loud when it gets busy. Take it as you will.

A LaFuente Survival Guide: 1. Make sure to get drink refills, condiments, napkins, and whatever else you need when the food comes out. Most likely, no one is coming back after that! 2. It's typical for the bill to be real slow too. Consider asking for it when the food comes out. 3. The food tastes great! Don't come here looking for authentic Mexican cuisine though. 4. 99 cent margaritas on Thursday are the best ever. In summary: good food, cheap margaritas, mediocre service.

Our favorite family meet-up in Lees Summit. Always great service, awesome food and fun atmosphere. :)

Came here because we saw a review about 99 cent Margs but when we got there they were $1.25, which was no problem because they were good sized and very good. Service was very rough at first. But our server brought us a free round of the Margs and apologized and just explained its been a busy night. The food was very good and the prices were fair, but the cheese dip was great. Will be back on Thursdays for the margaritas

As with most Mexican restaurants in the Lees Summit area they specialize in mediocrity. I had the Carne Asada which is traditionally made with cheaper cuts of steak. However it is possible to cook these cuts so they have some flavor. After I cut 3 oz of bone and far away I had a 3 oz of 1/4" thick meat that, though fairly tender, was absolutely tasteless. After the first bite I resorted to dipping it in the salsa which was also mediocre as was everything else except the service which was excellent. So, 5 stars for service and 2 for food. I'll not be back.

We came here for a birthday and had 7 adults and 2 kids. The place is huge, so there were plenty of room for larger parties. Our waiter's attitude more said he wanted to fight someone than be a friendly server. He walked away when we tried to order, told my Bro in law that a dish didn't have peppers or onions in it when it did, his overall demeanor was just that we were putting him out. The chips were good and tasted fresh, but the salsa had no flavor. We got the hot sauce and mixed them together then they were good. It was National Margarita Weekend, so we asked for specials...they had none. Server shrugged when we told him it was the NMW. I had the quesadilla jalisco (shrimp quesadilla) and my husband got the shrimp enchiladas. Normally, when you order the quesadilla, you get a pretty large portion, but they had just folded one tortilla in half. The shrimp were good size, so that was the highlight of my meal. Everything that was ordered at the table was loaded with queso on top, even the enchiladas. They did come by and give an ice cream for her birthday and sing...but there was no mention of feliz cumpleaños...and it sounded angry...do all servers get hit in the back or something? So we don't know what they were singing. Food was okay, service was awful...too many other options for me to want to come back

Always good food and quick service. My go to place for tacos and enchiladas. I love the salsa, especially the hot one.

They sent out my nachos supreme with NO cheese. I eventually (our waiter never came back) got them to bring a side of cheese sauce that was very small for a full order of nachos. The nachos were no good anyway. My father's stuffed peppers were completely cold, the cheese inside of them was hard and not melted. Our waiter was rude too. We've had much better luck at the Woods Chapel Road location.

This is the newest of a multiple restaurant group in the area. While the food is mediocre, the service is certainly poor (e.g. this is the first Mexican restaurant where we had to track down the waiter since he regularly vanished for long periods of time). The restaurant chain publishes coupons which attracted us here. However, the restaurant refused to honor their coupons and said they were only good at other locations despite their address being printed on the coupon. For example, a margarita special was only good at a different La Fuente location according to the waiter even though this location's address was on the coupon. In other words, this was a blatant case of false advertising. There are too many good restaurants in the area that don't need false advertising to attract customers, and we won't be back to this one.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
